Oxxie is now back where he started.
Blair made a very mature decision deciding that Oxxie would be better off where he could be with other geese. The last few days he was here he would sit on a bench on the back porch peering through the window and honking for Blair. Since school has started Blair hasn't had as much time to just hang out in the yard with Oxxie and she really felt sorry for him, knowing that he was lonely.
Do you notice that all the geese are going one way and Oxxie the other? Right after this picture, Oxxie took off flying and crashed into a hut you can see in the next picture. He hit the building rather hard and fell on the ground.
Blair ran down the pasture to the get him. As you can see in the picture, Blair is very concerned for her friend and squats down to talk to Oxxie. It was so cute because Oxxie walked right into her arms. He was so content and really didn't care to be put down.
Blair provided plenty of comfort for Oxxie. It was obvious that it was a very stressful time for him. She eventually let him down and just allowed him to warm up to his surroundings with her by his side and without the other geese present.
By the time we left Oxxie had calmed down and was with the other geese in a pen, but I cannot say that he was happy that Blair wasn't going to be by his side. It was very hard to drive away, knowing that Blair's friend of 21 weeks was being left behind to make new friends.
