What Happened to My Penta?

I could not believe it this morning when I saw this:

Before, it looked like this:

Upon inspecting, I found this:

I couldn't believe how fast these creatures had devoured my flower! It happened overnight.
I started plucking them from the plant, and while I didn't count every single one of them, I'd say there were between 60-80 on this one plant. No, I wasn't as kind as Leigh was at Life on the Hay Farm when she found caterpillars on her basil and just couldn't squash them. I made sure each and every one was properly squashed, before the rest of my garden was their next meal.

After doing some research, I believe that it is a Tersa Sphinx Moth, which is known for feeding on Pentas.

There were so hard to find, as they are the same color as the plant, and they hid under the leaves.
