A Wheat Field's Reminder

Over the past few months I've been watching this wheat field. But, the other day as I passed the field it had been harvested. I instantly had a lump in my throat knowing of the Lord's love for me. I could see the stalks of wheat that the combine had missed in the field and was instantly reminded of Ruth and how she gleaned the barley after the harvesters. It made it real to me how dedicated she was to provide for her mother-in-law, and how the Lord blessed her.

"Entreat me not to leave you, or to turn back from following you; For wherever you go, I will go; And wherever you lodge, I will lodge; Your people shall be my people, and your God, my God. Where you die, I will die, and there will I be buried. The LORD do so to me, and more also, if anything but death parts you and me." (Ruth 1:16-17 NKJV)

  1. I remember when you gave some thoughts at a girls camp down at South Llano one evening around the camp fire when you shared about Ruth and how thankful you were for "your people will be my people"...you broke down crying and your thoughts on your blog made me remember how it touched me for what a dramatic change this must have been for you. Wish I had known you back then to be your friend. Keep on girl!
